Kissling Amoroso & Company currently has 12 full-time and part-time staff members in three locations. We pride ourselves on the fact that our professional staff is made up of generalist rather than specialists. Our staff is made up of a group of individuals that understand the requirements of both financial statement preparation and income tax preparation. This broad approach allows us, as a firm, to watch out for our clients as a whole rather than focusing in on just the key task at hand. When a business owner makes a business decision there is going to be an impact on either the company's financial statement or tax return. At KA, our professional staff looks at the impact of both.
At KA we embrace the "Think Beyond Now" method. When we are assisting a client with an issue, we do not just come up with a solution that solves today's problem. We "Think Beyond Now" and ask what will be the impact in the future. If we reduce our client's income taxes today only to raise their income taxes in the future we do not believe we have truly done our job.
We undergo a peer review every three years to maintain high standards in financial reporting. The firm has always received an unqualified/ unmodified opinion. The report has been accepted by both the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). We are also a registered tax preparer with the Internal Revenue Service. We maintain a stringent continuing professional education strategy that focuses on small business issues and often exceeds the minimum hours required for Certified Public Accountants.
We have the designation of Quickbooks Pro-Advisor and our staff is trained to provide efficient, timely services to our clients. We also utilize technology to work ,smarter, not harder. We can assist you to implement technology in your business as well. We find that people learning incrementally in their daily tasks can find big rewards in efficiency without taking repetitive classes that have little relation to their jobs.

Paul J. Amoroso, CPA
Paul has been working with business owners and individuals in the areas of Financial Accounting, Taxation, and General Business Consulting for over 38 years. He has been described as a true accounting technician. Constantly reading and studying the latest accounting and tax regulations so that our clients are up to date in all aspects. In addition to consulting with our clients, he is in charge of quality control and work flow management at the firm. He has been the winner of the Five Star Professional Award, which recognizes service professionals in the Pittsburgh, PA area who provide quality service to their clients, in both 2014 and 2015. Paul has a BS in Accounting from Duquesne University.
Timothy J. Kissling, CPA
As a CPA, Tim has been working with business owners and individuals in the areas of Financial Accounting, Taxation, and General Business Consulting for over 32 years. His professional career has allowed him to work with clients from all walks of life, both locally and nationally. He is an entrepreneur at heart and approaches his work from a business owner's perspective. In addition to his responsibilities with Kissling, Amoroso & Co., he also works with financial planning clients through Kissling Financial, LLC. Recently he published his first book Think Beyond Tax Now which discloses many tax saving strategies for successful entrepreneurs. Tim has a BS in Accounting from the University of Southern California.
